Establishment of EIC

The attendance of Cambodian Enginners at the 25th FEISEAP conference from 8 to 9 October 1999 speeded up the urgent establishment of an Engineering Institution.
International Labor Organization (ILO) and UNESCO assisted a group of Cambodian Engineers from different sources and services throughout the Kingdom to arrange a meeting on the 6 January, 2000 at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia. The meeting unanimously agreed to form an Interim Committee to evaluate and arrange the establishment of National Engineering Assciation called: “ASSOCIATION OF ENGINEERS KHMER” (name list of members Interim Committee of Association of Engineers Khmer existed in point 1. Chapter III of EIC book).
The interim committee of Association of Khmer Engineer consented to change theName to “The Engineering Institution of Cambodia”. After the preparation of its Statuary and internal Regulation, a meeting was held on the 12th August, 2000 to organize a committee for the management of the institution called “Executive Committee of the Ennginnering Institution of Cambodia”.
